They feel that only by living in a sustainable way themselves,that it is then possible to create a model from which others can learn and live. They run their farm, community, and programs based on an experimental and experiential learning approach. They have worked with various groups for the past several years, and find this approach to be the most effective. Every year NUNM offers several global health trips to different developing nations across the world. Today, you find me overlooking the jungle, mountains and the farming valleys outside of Chiang Mai, in north western Thailand. Who knew so much happened on an organic farm in Thailand? Pun Pun was planted Permaculture style. Instead, the plants are planted how they would normally grow in the wild. There are beans, lettuce and garlic living in harmony! As a seed center we collect rare and indigenous seeds from Thailand and all around the world, propagate them at the farm, and when we have enough distribute them through our loose network of other organic farmers and communities. We are a living seed bank meaning we do not only collect seeds to keep but grow and exchange the seeds continually to propagate the species coming back to use.
