This template rcdb in the external links section of a roller coaster article. The first parameter is mandatory with the second parameter being optional, rcdb. If the second parameter is not rcdb, it will default to the article's name, rcdb. The template will check to see if the article's Wikidata entry has a single RCDB id note that if it has multiple RCDB's listed, you must put the specific one in the template.
The site also categorizes the rides into special orders, including a list of the tallest coasters, a list of the fastest coasters, a list of the most inversions on a coaster, a list of the parks with the most inversions, etc. Each roller coaster entry links back to a page which lists all of that park's roller coasters, past and present, and includes a brief history and any links to fan web pages saluting the park. The goal of this page is to provide a complete list of all significant roller coasters covered by the Roller Coaster Database RCDB , listed by their ID number as it appears on the external website. Each entry should be a link to the full title of the article for that coaster e. Every entry should also meet at least one of following two requirements:. If an entry fails both , then it should not be added to the list. Only being listed in a chart at an amusement park article may not be enough to justify its inclusion here. If this becomes a question or an entry is challenged by another editor, consider expanding the target article first with more details backed by sources. This will help justify adding it to the list.
