A familiar Christmas tradition is returning to Red Deer Polytechnic again this year, with upcoming performances of The Nutcracker Ballet being planned. In preparation for another magical year of performances, Red Deer Polytechnic is seeking dancers between the ages of 4 to 18 to audition and step into the enchanted world of this classic Christmas ballet. Auditions will be held on September 11 and To schedule an audition, visit rdc. This is a wonderful place for youth to learn the steps to the world-famous ballet while meeting new friends, developing dancing skills and performing for family, friends and central Alberta community members. With the health and safety of all participants at the forefront, auditions and rehearsals will adhere to all current COVID public health measures and other protocols identified by the institution. Auditions are scheduled in September and dancers will spend countless hours developing their skills and rehearsing prior to the performances. The Polytechnic also offers a ballet dance camp in August which leads up to the audition and performance.
