An intimate, family-run restaurant in the heart of Helsinki, serving modern, innovative food with the main focus on Finnish game, vegetables and sustainable seafood. Natura is a casual restaurant accessible to all, serving food made from high-quality ingredients — a place where Finnish nature blends with the surrounding city of Helsinki, where modern dishes are served with a smile and cooked in an open kitchen by our passionate staff in a relaxed atmosphere. The food is local, organic, and super fresh, sourced from Finnish and Scandinavian small producers with the main focus on Finnish game, vegetables, and sustainable seafood. In summer, a large proportion of our vegetables and herbs comes from our own farm in Helsinki. Our wild herbs and berries are foraged within 50 km from the restaurant. The farmed meat comes from small, family-run businesses that we have personally visited and that share our respect and passion for the industry. Fermenting, pickling, charcoal grilling, salting, hot and cold smoking with David's innovative and personal touch constitutes the backbone of our cooking. David draws inspiration from Finnish nature, the surrounding city of Helsinki and his travels around the world, combined with his knowledge and experience gained from working at Michelin one-, two- and three-star restaurants. Sustainability, ethically chosen, local and organic ingredients and low waste should be not the exception but the rule. At Natura, we have taken all this for granted from the start and will continue to do so in the future! In its publication, the restaurants are ranked by sustainability and gastronomy. The Finnish nature and the bustling, dynamic, upcoming old bar street, nowadays the" design district" of Helsinki and Natura welcomes you! The menu is based around Finnish seasonality and changes daily according to the seasons and availability of ingredients. Finnish cuisine with local ingredients and Nordic flavors are at the core of our menu, with a strong focus on sustainable dining and organic food. The tasting menus consist of dishes from the a la carte menu.
