This is the perfect way to spend a holiday with kids. This time for a two-week cruise around the Mediterranean. And we had been counting down the days for the voyage to begin. The value of the cruise was good but once onboard the experience is not great. The ship is tired and old , really needs a modern update. MY cabin was in need of updating and cabin staff just seem stressed and miserable. We were allocated a great table at The Oriental but no Sommelier so the poor waiting staff are stressed out trying to get the hot food and cope with taking drinks orders which is We had previously sailed on Azura in when she was brand new and after 14 years there was quite a difference in the state of the ship. That said she was clean and the staff were always around cleaning and polishing. Our cabin was clean and functional although the lack of USB points was an issue as we could only plug our devices in where the kettle was situated above the fridge. We didn't We were left with no choice but to accept the downgrade. We booked this cruise in June The ship itself is in a poor state and in desperate need of a refurb. The food was substandard.

Activities 4.

Hit five stars for activities and excursions but didn't use them. Excellent value for money cruise. Staff onboard were very good. Cabins kept clean by friendly staff. Food onboard was consistently good and well cooked. This ship caters for the British market and this is reflected in the menus on offer.

Azura is a ship that has been tailor-made for the British market. From the entertainment roster of former TV stars to the excellent range of ales and gins served in the ship's numerous bars. The prices on board are in pounds sterling, too. The ship offers something for everyone: from Brodie's sports bar playing Premier League football around the clock as well as evening bingo and pub quizzes to ballroom dancing lessons in the impressive atrium and a posh curry in Sindhu. Azura is a versatile ship that is able to cater to a range of different passengers -- as long as they are Anglophiles. In April , Azura underwent its first refurbishment since coming in to service in The multimillion pound renovation saw improvements to many areas of the ship not visible to passengers pipes carrying drinking water were replaced as well as more obvious improvements to soft furnishings in the corridors, staircases and main restaurants. The buffet areas were also updated although the questionable layout remains while the restaurant Seventeen became The Epicurean, after sister ship Britannia's high-end for-fee eaterie.
