Known for its large oceanfront porch complete with rocking chairs, the original property had rooms, two apartments, and two dining rooms: one formal, and one for sunbathers. The Rideau offered the American Plan, serving breakfast and dinner to its guests daily. It was also one of the first to have elevator service to its guest rooms. In its heyday, the Rideau Hotel was a community within itself during the summer season.

We have been staying here for years and never had any major problems. Any time something has come up, it had been taken care of with no delays. They even let us stay parked on their parking lot after checkout so we could go onto the Boardwalk. I highly recommend staying here for a weekend getaway. Conveniently located on the Boardwalk so no hassles with parking. Great experience, perfect location, room ocean view, large balcony, nice size room, clean, will be back next year, close to pier, on boardwalk, was quiet, water pressure was great, new installed elevator made much easier. Rideau was very easy to locate in OC-MD. Very friendly staff, clean rooms and hallways. Nice pool. Easy access to the boardwalk.
