Don is actually fair to the competitors as he makes sure that they thoroughly follow the rules, never hesitating to penalize those who break them. Don does not disqualify any teams for lying or creating trouble, but neither does he go out of his way to cause them any pain. While Chris favors contestants who use underhanded tactics, Don prefers contestants who are honest, as indicated by his least favorite te am being the one who cheats or sabotages others throughout the race. In None Down, Eighteen to Go—Part 1 , Don is in Toronto, the starting point of the competition, atop a historic train station, and introduces the competition itself and the pairs of contestants involved.
