We live in the Washington Park area in the new development. They have done a great job our unit neighbors are lovely and the park area is devine. I live south of train line, in Littleton St, it's a great area. Close to the train, 30min into the city, 15min to airport. Quite area, with good footpaths to shops. Good selection of parks in the area, small walk, or short drive to library and community centre.

In October , the main US hospital left for the liberation of the Philippines , although some American patients and staff remained on site until January In that same month, the Royal Navy United Kingdom opened a hospital to treat wounded members of the British Pacific Fleet in the vacated buildings. The suburb developed an unsavoury reputation for poverty, overcrowding and violence, and its name was changed to Riverwood in , in large part to remove the stigma associated with living there.
