Here I go again with another restoration. I just had this 84 shipped in last night. This bike was parked in a garage in and never touched for 26 years! Besides the surface rust, she is an original stock bike. This will be a slow build. Drum Brakes. It's just 3 more years that you want a donut. Piston rings are stuck in the cylinder. And the next year was panned as being flat. DirtBike did an article showing the only diff was the cylinder head and either skimmed and or reshaped it like the previous year. Where that leaves the E. The basic performance of the TM was enhanced by the adoption of a rack and pinion clutch release system that realizes a precise operation feel by a light-touch, and a highly reliable competition-oriented chain for off-road use. The RM features an aluminum 1-cylinder engine with a 6-port scavenging system that combines a power reed valve and the Pointless Electronic Ignition PEI system. This engine is paired with a newly designed lightweight and tough semi-double cradle type pipe frame, and realizes excellent throttle response and superb performance from low- to high- rpm ranges. Other features include the proven rack and pinion clutch release mechanism from the RH factory machine, as well as a Ceriani type front suspension. The rear suspension uses nitrogen gas-filled shock absorbers attached at an angle to the center of the frame.

If you look at the parts diagrams closely you can actually see the small differences in the parts to match them against what you have.
