Commuters have been urged to plan their travel in advance when roadworks commence on the A34 in Stoke-on-Trent next week.

This week has seen the temporary lights go up at the junction of St Edward Street and Church Street where engineers from Severn Trent are on the scene.

The work - which starts on Monday, February 26 - involves changes to the junction and the installation of pedestrian crossings at the junction of Godwin Way and at the north side of Newcastle Road. Temporary traffic lights and lane closures will be in place. There will also be night-time closures on Clayton Lane and Godwin Way for resurfacing works. These road improvement works will help ease traffic congestion along this route and make it safer for pedestrians.
