Robin Gayle Wright born April 8, is an American actress. She has also been credited as Robin Wright Penn. To the INFP personality types life is a long quest for meaning and harmony and their personal values are so important to them. This means that it is essential to the INFP that their beliefs and their actions are totally in sync at all times. Yet there is a crusading side to the INFP which would surprise even those who knew the person well. Born in Texas in , Robin Wright began her career as a model before landing on the soap opera Santa Barbara. She made the leap from television to film and gained fame for her roles in such hits as The Princess Bride and Forrest Gump, as well as her marriage to actor Sean Penn. Wright has garnered multiple Emmy Award nominations for her role as Claire Underwood on the original Netflix series House of Cards, and in she became the first actress to win a Golden Globe for an online-only series. The daughter of a pharmaceutical executive and an independent executive sales director for Mary Kay cosmetics, Wright was a natural beauty and began modeling at an early age, traveling to both Paris and Japan while still in high school. Wright says she pursued modeling mainly for the traveling opportunities it provided: "I think that the whole idea of beauty distorts your ability to not only find yourself but to have a healthy sense of your identity. And then I went to Europe and I didn't want to come home. I loved Europe so much. Even though, as a teenager, Wright was elected homecoming queen and had a successful modeling career, she was actually more interested in dancing than being photographed. Then that idea was sort of usurped from my life because we moved to San Diego. After high school, Wright was encouraged to act by her modeling agent and landed a lead part on the soap opera Santa Barbara.

She transitioned to film with a starring role in the fantasy film The Princess Bride , and she gained a nomination for a Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in the top-grossing drama Forrest Gump She had further starring roles in the romantic drama Message in a Bottle and the thriller Unbreakable , as she gained praise for her performances in the independent films Loved , She's So Lovely , Nine Lives and Sorry, Haters She has since taken on supporting roles in the sports drama Moneyball , the thriller The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo , the adventure film Everest , the superhero film Wonder Woman , and the science fiction film Blade Runner
