Common Rare Untameable Cave. A variant, the Lava Elemental is available as a mini-boss on Ragnarok. This section is intended to be an exact copy of what the survivor Helena Walker , the author of the dossiers , has written. There may be some discrepancies between this text and the in-game creature. Colossus petram is like no creature I have ever encountered. There is no biological or historical precedent for it. Its nearest relatives exist only in legend — mythical statues that could come to life like the Golem of Prague. That makes it all the more dangerous. What survivor could possibly expect a seemingly benign rock formation to suddenly spring to life and attack them? Fortunately, Colossus petram's massive size makes it quite slow, so I would advise most survivors to flee immediately if encountering it in the wild. Colossus petram survives by slowly absorbing nearby minerals while in its dormant state, which consequently means that its body contains a wealth of metal ingots. If undisturbed, it can maintain this hibernation ad infinitum, but it will viciously attack anyone who encroaches upon its territory. A solitary creature, Colossus petram lives alone, and will not even protect its own kind. If somehow tamed, Colossus petram could prove to be an invaluable asset, particularly in a siege. Only armor piercing rounds or explosives can harm it at all, and it will handily smash through stone structures.
Last but not least, a great method for killing a Rock Elemental is using a Velonasaur with its sniper attack, rock golem ark, since its spikes deal full damage to the Rock Elemental. Torpidity -depletion: 0.

Arguably, the golem is one of the most difficult tames provided in SE, second only to that of the Wyvern. A taming process similar to the Titan, the Rock Golem requires explosive damage in order to be rendered unconscious, a demanding task for any ARK player. However, with a tame this difficult, is the Rock Elemental worth taming overall? Taming the creature is not impossible, however, for a proper caging method renders the golem susceptible to the explosive onslaught. Overall, the Rock Elemental is a difficult and arduous tame, yet the rewards are definitely worth it You should add in that, unlike the Titan, it can be caged while taming as far as I have heard, at least. Good analysis though! With a 4 hour torpor depletion time, the 2 day taming isn't THAT terrible. If you use Clay I hear it's even quicker. KO one, put a cage around it, and make sure someone is logged in every 4 hours to narc it back up.

The Colossus Petram is a large stone creature from an unknown time period that feeds on minerals and has an extremely territorial temperament. Unlike most creatures that have been found in the Ark, the Rock Elemental, also known as a Rock Golem remains a mystery to most but is said to cause destruction when survivors come across it. Rock Elementals are usually hidden from plain sight, disguised as rocks while waiting for anything that invades its territory which it soon begins to attack. Survivors as well as their tames may not be aware of the presence of the Rock Elemental but upon coming too close, they will be attacked instantly.
