The golf course was commissioned in to accommodate the interests of the British railway workers and Thai aristocracy living in the area. Royal Hua Hin sits right next to the town's railway station. The course's designer was a Scottish railroad engineer. The Hua Hin golf course is constructed on natural terrain and set between some spectacular rocky hills and is a traditional older British golf course design.

One of the many great aspects of playing golf is the history surrounding the sport. While many people know about famous courses such as the Old Course at St Andrews in Scotland, it often comes as a surprise to learn about the history of golf in other counties around the world. This makes it the oldest hole international standard golf course in the country and it has a long history.

Spend your money on the better courses in Hua Hin and give this a miss until the powers that be can be bothered to give a value for money experience.
