Ryzen 3 vs i3 10th gen
Release date: Q2
I just bought a Ryzen 3 based laptop and i have to say, i was quite impressed by this little apu! For general tasks like webbrowsing, email, wordprocessing etc this apu flies through that with a breeze! It's a lower midrange apu, but that doesn't mean it's slow! You can actually game on this, doom for example stays around 30fps with the right settings, giving you an xbox one like experience, which is honestly not bad at all! If you want to play older or more lightweight games, this apu can handle it no problems!

Comparing Ryzen 3 U and Core iU processor market type desktop or notebook , architecture, sales start time and price. Ryzen 3 U and Core iU basic parameters such as number of cores, number of threads, base frequency and turbo boost clock, lithography, cache size and multiplier lock state. These parameters indirectly say of CPU speed, though for more precise assessment you have to consider their test results. Information on Ryzen 3 U and Core iU compatibility with other computer components: motherboard look for socket type , power supply unit look for power consumption etc. Useful when planning a future computer configuration or upgrading an existing one. Note that power consumption of some processors can well exceed their nominal TDP, even without overclocking. Some can even double their declared thermals given that the motherboard allows to tune the CPU power parameters. Technological solutions and additional instructions supported by Ryzen 3 U and Core iU. You'll probably need this information if you require some particular technology. Ryzen 3 U and Core iU technologies aimed at improving security, for example, by protecting against hacks. Virtual machine speed-up technologies supported by Ryzen 3 U and Core iU are enumerated here. Depending on the motherboard, higher memory frequencies may be supported.

But which lineup is better? Today, we find out as we compare Ryzen 3 vs Core i3 in terms of history, specifications, and performance. A year after the launch of the Core i5 and two years after the launch of the Core i7 lineup. At the time, the Core i3 lineup was intended to replace the dual-core Core2Duo lineup. Keeping that in mind, these were also dual-core CPUs but with hyperthreading, meaning they had 4 threads. Also Read: Intel iF vs Ryzen 5 x. Intel aimed to make them more and more power efficient with each generation, though. The first major change occurred when Intel launched the 8th generation Core i3 lineup. Here, Intel moved from 2 to 4 cores but retained the 4 threads as hyperthreading was disabled. The Ryzen 3 lineup was released in January , along with Ryzen 5 and Ryzen 7, and was created on the Zen architecture.

AMD has been unafraid to push back against the long-standing dominance of Intel in the CPU arena by talking up both the value-per-dollar and high-end performance delivered by their latest Ryzen hardware. In our opinion, many non-enthusiast PC builders will be better off buying a processor like the Intel Core iKF even if it costs a little bit more than its closest Ryzen counterpart. The higher the numeral, the higher the spec of the processor. Simple enough, right? The Ryzen 3 was an entry-level alternative to the Intel i3, the Ryzen 5 was a mainstream counterpart to the Intel i5, and the Ryzen 7 was pitched in opposition to the performance offered by an Intel i7. The Ryzen 3, Ryzen 5 and Ryzen 7 all returned. This reincarnated Ryzen family offered higher boosted clock speeds, reduced power consumption. Where the mainline Ryzen range offers an impressive 8 cores and 16 threads, the Threadripper series starts at 12 cores and 24 threads and goes all the way up to 64 cores and threads. The extra cores could also help with video game streaming on services like Twitch.
