The Gym Leader is Sabrina. Trainers who defeat her receive the Marsh Badge. In the first four Generations, the Saffron Gym is a maze of warp tiles and nine rooms.
So how did Giovanni get his paws on the Silph Scope prototype? Is the company in cahoots with Team Rocket? The only way to find out will be to use a little industrial espionage, so get your team built up strong and prepare to go on a stealth mission! Fans of the TV show are probably beginning to notice that the ruthless Team Rocket of the game doesn't have a whole heck of a lot in common with the bumbling idiots depicted on TV. The members of Saffron Gym specialise in the powerful Psychic type, which is one of the best types in the game. It has only one extremely rare weakness in Bug, whose members typically can't even learn the paltry handful of mediocre Bug-type moves. To get to Sabrina, you'll need to traverse a series of teleporters, although it isn't clear where each one will teleport you. Luckily for you, the map above should help in that regard. There are also written instructions below, based on the assumption that you wish to battle every Trainer before Sabrina. To fight Trainers A to G before ending up in Sabrina's room, take the teleporters on the map in the following order: If for some reason you can't see the image, you can take the following teleporters in each room, making sure to battle the Trainer in the room after each teleport:. If you want to heal up before facing Sabrina, the quickest way back out of the Gym from the room with the last Psychic G would be through teleporters , or north-west, north-east, south-east. Kadabra has the potential to be annoying, with Disable and Reflect to prolong the battle and a decently powerful Psychic at its disposal. Ultimately though, being level 38 and not fully evolved render it fairly weak. Mime is a weaker Kadabra, lower levelled and with a worse Psychic-type move in Confusion. It has more Defense, but not enough to make much difference. Beware its irritating status moves in PoisonPowder and Stun Spore, however. It's lower levelled and packs the weaker Psybeam instead of Psychic. Like Kadabra though, it too has Recover to heal half its maximum HP, so be sure your attacks can do more damage than that or it has the possibility of stalling you out.

If you approach the Gym, you'll find out that the old man previously blocking the entrance has moved only if you have defeated Sabrina's optional gym , and he informs you that the Gym Leader has finally returned. Time to earn your final badge! Once you enter, you'll see a small maze filled with Gym trainers. If you look closely, in fact you only need to face two of these trainers to face the Gym Leader, one Cool Trainer and a Black Belt both at the top in the room.
