Sahil has an abundance of achievements that students and adults alike admire, but his accomplishments are not a direct result of merely his intelligence. At a young age, Sahil stood out academically, always trying new things and expressing his passions. He recognized science, technology, engineering and mathematics STEM subjects as something that greatly interested him and decided to pursue extracurriculars that would further his knowledge in those areas. Gaining more experience, Sahil realized the importance of getting ahead and taking full advantage of all the opportunities that were presented to him. He worked hard to enter freshman year ahead of his peers in both academics and extracurriculars.

Meet the Team. As a senior at Lambert High school, I am a youth changemaker that aims to catalyze change within my community. I founded HYPE with the goal of promoting sustainable solutions to prominent issues in the community. Through visionary leadership and pursuit of advocacy, I strive to empower youth across the world to unify into a well-equipped coalition armed with the tools to facilitate tangible change. Prior to joining this non-profit, I, along with of my peers, including Sahil Sood, worked together on a Communities Against COVID which is a non-profit dedicated to help healthcare workers during the pandemic. Later on, when HYPE reached out to me, I recognized the necessity of a program like this to help those less fortunate, and joined immediately. I have seen personally seen the effects of poverty. Being deprived of basic human needs like education, food, and a balanced mind is just as harmful. I have been spending my time out of school leading middle school girls to a faith of their own and improving their middle school experience. I have also been working closely with Lead for Change teaming up with Toys for Tots to have an impact on youth. When offered the opportunity to join the HYPE team I knew it was the thing for me, as it entails all the things I am passionate about improving in our community.
