Namely a Savage Axis the original, not the one with the accutrigger in. I've read all the opinions on Savages here and around the internet and I'm aware of the limitations and downsides already. What I'm really looking to do is get the most that I can out of this bargain-basement gun. It's my hunting rifle and I wouldn't shoot at an animal past about yards or so, and I use it for some target shooting out to about yards usually stick to I don't want to spend a ton of money on it because it will be relegated to a secondary spot once I get the Howa build going, but I'm willing to spend a bit for worthwhile upgrades.
