The Scottish Curling Trust was set up to encourage and actively promote public participation in curling; to preserve, conserve, interpret and display the arts, heritage and culture of the sport of curling; and to make provision for disabled people and those who are impaired or have special needs to introduce them to and assist them in their enjoyment of curling. Curling Heritage: The Trust holds a huge number of historical artefacts that have been acquired or donated over time. In the Trust commenced the significant task of cataloguing the collection in order to make it available, both online as a Virtual Museum and physically. Scotland's men's curlers are celebrating a remarkable world championship win against host nation Canada. The team, led by skip Bruce Mouat, took the title with a decisive triumph in Calgary on Sunday. Scotland's win is the country's sixth triumph in the annual championships and its first since First Minister Humza Yousaf has led tributes to the team, which includes the son of a former world champion. Hammy McMillan followed in the footsteps of his father Hammy Snr who lifted the title in Hammy Jnr told British Curling: "I have always looked up to him and when we put the team together he has always been our biggest supporter.

Team Whyte were first on the board with a single before, following a blank end, Team J Craik gained an advantage with a three in the third end. Answering with a two though, Team Whyte levelled the scores again. The sides traded singles until End 8 when Team Whyte managed a two for the upper hand. Team J Craik blanked the ninth and scored one in the tenth to take the game to a tense extra end. Proceedings culminated in Team J Craik playing a hit and roll to lie two with their last stones, leaving Team Whyte with a full four foot draw for a point and the win. Their stone came to rest just as it was meant to, giving Team Whyte a win and the national title. Team J Craik had a great start to the game, scoring three in the opening end and forcing Team Mouat to one in the next. While they were forced themselves in the next end, they followed it up with a steal of three and another two successive single steals. On , Team Mouat conceded the game after just six ends with an exception provision. Team Whyte came out firing versus Team J Craik in the 1v2 page, following an early score of two up with two successive steals to lead after four ends.
