Instead of targeting a creature, you can choose a location you have seen before as the target of this spell. Scrying is about as simple as divination spells get. You pick a creature to stick an invisible camera on, or a place to stick said invisible camera, and you get a live feed directly to your brain of all the sights and sounds around it.
