The Sega Saturn has historically been one of the harder consoles to emulate due to its infamously difficult architecture consisting of 8 processors overall and use of quadrilaterals rather than triangles as polygons, resulting in a lack of good options. However, things are looking up for open-source emulators like Mednafen, and to a lesser extent, Yabause. Mednafen version 1. Refer to the ST-V section of the official documentation for more details and a list of explicitly supported games. One very fast central processor would be preferable. I don't think all programmers have the ability to program two CPUs — most can only get about one-and-a-half times the speed you can get from one SH

I don't know why the standalone version isn't in the setup script, as for the libretro version, as i said many times, you should never use it, it's crap, and it's abandoned. FBNeo developer - github - forum. Yabasanshiro on retropie with my p4 runs fantastic. Every saturn game I've tried runed in full speed even with x2 resolution. I've had a skim through this thread a few times and I kinda get lost in the discussion over what is and isn't working. But for me, most the 2d Saturn games I tried worked, Cotton, Bomberman etc. It's the 3d games that seemed more difficult to play.

The Sega Saturn is fifth generation home console developed by Sega. The Saturn's hardware borrows many components from the Sega Titan Video arcade system. The Saturn is considered one of the more complicated consoles to both program for by developers and to properly emulate. In fact, it's better to consider this a sixth generation console for performance reasons. In an ironic twist of events, the Saturn's successor is much easier to emulate than the Saturn itself.
All major controllers are supported by Batocera. EmulationStation uses an internal database so that most of them work out of the box, no configuration required. For controllers not in this database yet, Batocera will prompt you to manually map its buttons. Some controllers may have particular instructions to follow to get them to connect to Batocera in the first place, especially wireless ones. Said instructions are included below. Any generic USB controller should work.

Third-party development was initially hindered by the lack of useful software libraries and development tools, requiring developers to write in assembly language to achieve good performance. Every saturn game I've tried runed in full speed even with x2 resolution. Curious to know the specs of people managing to get stable framerate with these cores, for my understandings of Saturn emulation. There is no way to use playlists to achieve this functionality. More concerned about Saturn at the moment Need to play Shining Force 3 Can anyone else spot anything I may be overlooking? Preload optical disc image to RAM For users with sluggish multi-platter HDDs or plagued by horrible seek times, this enhancement might offer smoother experience, potentially reduced power consumption; it also shines when disc images reside on a network drive. Shuttle Mouse.
What is happening is that in the middle of the gameplay depending on what action I do, the background starts to produce artifacts. If I create a savestate while artifacts are being shown, the game is ruined, as loading the savestate will bring back the artifacts all the time, but if I save normally I can exit retroarch and load the game without artifacts again.

This technique proved problematic as it caused texture distortion and required careful reworking to achieve the desired appearance—Sega provided tools for remapping textures from UV space into rectangular tiles. When I try to start a game, the screen goes black and there is nothing I can do.
I am final, I am sorry, would like to offer other decision.
I regret, that I can not participate in discussion now. It is not enough information. But with pleasure I will watch this theme.
