Serpentine has sort of gone off to do her own serpentine steven universe. If was her job to think of solutions to problems foreseen by Sapphires, and to design whatever Yellow Diamond had need of. Serpentine is very outgoing.

Serpentine is a on Mohs scale of hardness, and has fibrous structures that make it very heat resistant. So I've given Serpentine the ability to forge weapons, much like a Bismuth, though Serpentine is made as more of an assistant to a Bismuth. She cannot summon her own weapon though, and is not much of a fighter. She is strong enough to fight if need be though, so in times of great struggle Serpentines are sent to battle, leaving the Bismuth to do the forging work alone. Serpentine is a Gem that has a skin tone that of a light moldy color. Their eyes are very feral-like, since they have slit pupils and fully colored eyes. The nose of this Gem is slightly curved and round at the bottom. Serpentine wore a skin-tight bodysuit that was close to the color of their gemstone. It was designed with several black lines connecting to a large Blue Diamond to signify who they served, like every other Homeworld Gem that was loyal to their superior Diamond. Their hair was rather spiky and stylized at the time, almost completely unlike human hair and more like a weirdly shaped helmet. Serpentine is a very snarky and lazy gem. They treat anyone they deem below them as servants. The only gems they seem to respect are diamonds, large quartz soldiers.

She is the guardian of an ancient temple built on Earth long ago who, due to an unspecified event, had her gemstone damaged and as a result became corrupted, but has somehow maintained her mind and personality. Her corrupted and current primary form is a giant cobra with a dark green hood, head, and back, and a pale green underside. Her hood has pale green striations, and her stomach has light green striations running down to her tail.

The gemstones are, in essence, the Gem's core. According to Pearl in " What Are Gems? Garnet states in " Steven the Sword Fighter " that if the physical body which is just an "illusion" made of light with mass of a Gem is severely damaged or injured, it retreats to its gemstone to regenerate and project a new body form. All the Crystal Gems besides Steven have been shown to regenerate. In contrast, any slight damage to the gemstone, such as a crack, results in a serious and often crippling injury to the Gem. It can interfere with their powers, as Lapis Lazuli is unable to summon her water wings while her gemstone is cracked in " Ocean Gem ".

Fluorite is the unaligned fusion of six unknown Gems , making her debut in " Off Colors ". Due to being a fusion between multiple Gem types, Fluorite was considered defective by Homeworld , resulting in her hiding with the Off Colors in the Abandoned Homeworld Kindergarten until she escaped the planet with the help of Lars. She and the rest of the Off Colors resided on Earth, but after the events of " Little Graduation ", she and the rest of the Off Colors have returned to space. Because of her six Gems, Fluorite's appearance is not outwardly humanoid but instead, takes an appearance similar to that of a very large caterpillar. Fluorite has a 6-segmented body including her head with each segment being seafoam green, earthy grayish natural blue, dark blue, indigo purple, then purplish pink, though the colors below her head may be a boat-necked section-colored bodysuit still unclear. Each of her first two body segments has a pair of slender arms. The first of these arm pairs has elbow-length pale periwinkle gloves. Both arms are small-handed, and blue, although the lower pair seems more muscular.
