The warning does not always appear and it only appears during the auto stop feature. The Service Stabilitrak warning only appears when the car auto starts. This is not every time the car starts. Some times it will not give the warning all day other times it will give the warning several times in one day. The warning only appears briefly during the auto start then the warning turns off just after the warning chime stops. Any guidance is appreciated. I will have the battery tested. Did you find the problem?
It all happened at once, sitting at a light. Car has been running great after 5 weeks.
The Electronic Stability Control ESC monitors the speed at which the wheels are rotating as well as other parameters such as the steering angle. When you lose the steering control or traction, the ESC tries to reduce the engine power or engage the brakes to help you regain control of the vehicle. The ESC system does not work the same way on all vehicles. As such, it is always important that you refer to your manufacturer's manual to understand how yours works. Generally, the ESC light illuminates when the car is losing control and stays illuminated when a malfunction has been detected or the system has manually shut off.
The message appears every time I start my vehicle but disappears when I press the check mark. GuruK8YRP answered 4 years ago. The wiring box was just "clipped" onto the battery; you could just twist it off once you had the battery out. The warning does not always appear and it only appears during the auto stop feature. I did go with a higher CCA battery. KCivitello 8 Replies. Had it in the Chevy service dept several times now and they can't come up with anything! Failing battery results in engine re-starting dragging down the voltage, which the computers don't like. I would seek at least partial restitution for this mis-diagnosis, start with the service advisor and work your way up the chain with your claim. It's so annoying! Guessing to the starter. After allowing suitable warmup, put the trans selector in the appropriate range and THEN release the parking brake. They replaced the battery and their problem went away. If you need electronic stability control repair, give our auto repair shop a call today! And I told them.

The first thing to do is have it load-tested. Havent had the shift to park issue looked at yet. Should I just go ahead and replace the battery?? AVS Forum. They said they even looked up bulletins and tech notes to try to address it. Log in. I changed the spark plugs and no fix. Also today was the first time I saw "Steering assist is reduced" hoping this is all because of the battery. Ok, so? They replaced the battery and their problem went away. JavaScript is disabled.
