Share the Dignity was born last year, after reading an article in Mamma Mia on a crisis concerning homeless women and women who are in refuge after fleeing domestic violence. Many women are forced to choose between food for themselves and their children, share the dignity facebook, or sanitary items when they have their period. Many women were having to create makeshift pads from newspaper, hand towels, clean themselves in public restrooms, and girls living in poverty are not going to school at that time of the month.

Share the Dignity works to make a real, on the ground difference in the lives of those experiencing homelessness, fleeing domestic violence, or doing it tough. They distribute period products to women, girls, and anyone who menstruates who needs support. Why do we work with them? The loans. Our staff have assisted in donating to collection drives and campaigns which are delivered to various charities across Australia.

I'm swapping gifts for donations to help fund Dignity Vending Machines. These are a world first innovation that provides free and dignified access to period products. Each donation will help fund period packs which restock these machines and ensure that women do not feel ashamed or embarassed when dealing with their period, or about needing to ask for help. I appreciate any support you are able to give because together we have the power to change the world. They assist those in need by collecting thousands of period products each year through collection drives and campaigns and distribute them directly to charities across Australia. We are collecting period products this March to help those experiencing period poverty. Donate period products at any Woolworths supermarket for the month of March. They shouldn't have to choose By donating period products you will ensure women, girls and those who menstruate who are experiencing or at risk of domestic violence, homelessness or poverty have access to period products when they need them. We accept all products in original packaging, including pads, tampons, reusable pads, period undies, menstrual cups and incontinence products.
