A man has been shot while hiding in a garden trying to escape his attacker. An investigation was launched after Met police officers were called at around 6. Officers arrived at the scene in Lyndhurst Way, Peckham and found two men. The Met said two victims were in a vehicle when they were approached by two suspects on a moped who fired at them. One of the victims fled and was shot as he attempted to hide in a garden in Ivanhoe Road, East Dulwich. His condition is not life-threatening. The second victim, who sustained injuries in the collision, is in a stable condition, his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.

A man shot dead close to a funeral in south east London has been named by the police. The year-old victim of the shooting in East Dulwich was named by detectives as Azezur Khan, who was also known as Ronnie. Police have arrested two men and two teenage girls over the shooting, in which a teenager was also wounded. The four people arrested were taken to a south London police station and bailed to return in late November. Mr Khan, from south east London, is believed to have been attending a funeral when he was shot near to the junction of Forest Hill Road and Rockells Place. Next of kin have been informed and although formal identification is yet to take place, officers said they were confident the victim was Mr Khan. The second male, thought to be in his late teens, was taken to hospital with a bullet wound to the ankle. Officers have been scouring bins and skips and beneath parked cars in Therapia Road for evidence.

Azezur Khan, who was known as Ronnie, was killed on Forest Hill Road, East Dulwich, on 3 November but police have "no information" to suggest the year-old was deliberately targeted.
