Shrine map breath of the wild

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is out now!

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is an incredible game, both in terms of critical acclaim and sheer size. Few aspects of Link's latest sprawling adventure exemplify this as well as the sheer number of shrines - miniature dungeons focused solely on puzzle solving. Finding all of the shrines in Breath of the Wild is a massive undertaking, especially when you take time to consider that many of the shrines are hidden. Fortunately, we here at Nintendo Life have invested a great deal of time in uncovering every single shrine you can find in Hyrule. We've sorted all of the shrines by the section of the map they're located on. As you may already know, you can unlock additional sections of the world map by climbing towers and activating them using Link's Sheikah Slate.

Each puzzle shrine contains at least one Treasure Chest and Spirit Orb. Use our shrine map for BOTW to locate them all. This tips section also contains solutions to every BOTW Shrine puzzle, and detailed directions on how to collect every Shrine treasure. Use this image as a quick reference and the list of all shrines in BOTW below, but if you prefer a map view, please use our infinitely more detailed and zoomable interactive Breath of the Wild Shrine map that details the location of every Shrine in Hyrule. We added a new feature to our maps that lets you check off which Shrines you have already completed, which should make your quest to get them all much easier! BOTW Shrines contain a variety of challenges. Some are small dungeons which feature a central puzzle theme. Others contain monsters which test Link's combat skills and range from relatively easy to fairly difficult. There are also "free" shrines. Those include the shrines in the Lost Woods and the three labyrinths and some Shrine Quests. These shrines contain no puzzles or monsters and the treasure chest and Spirit Orb are given freely just for accessing the shrine. Four special Shrines at the start of the game contain Runes that will be essential to solving the puzzles within, while other shrines contain Spirit Orbs. Note that some Shrines aren't always visible, and Link will need to undertake Shrine Quests to solve riddles to reveal their location. This includes 4 Shrines found on the Great Plateau , and 3 Shrines found in each of the regions that surround the Divine Beasts.

Nice guide though, wish it said which had a shrine quest and where to find them, I missed one quest but got all Daka Tuss Shrine.

Breath of the Wild is filled with over Shrines scattered throughout the Overworld. Only the first four shrines on the Great Plateau are required in order to complete the game. Shrines serve two main functions. Simply arriving at the shrine and putting the Sheikah Slate on the pedestal will unlock the shrine as a teleport spot, which can be traveled to at any time, even when within a shrine or dungeon. The secondary function is to enter the shrine and complete it for a Spirit Orb. Four Spirit Orbs can be turned in to any Goddess Statue for your choice of a heart container or a stamina upgrade. Later in the quest, Link will unlock a sidequest which will allow him the ability to change these choices. Shrines often contain unique treasure that cannot be acquired elsewhere, such as pieces of armor sets, or rare weapons. If you unlock the teleport point, but save the shrine for later, the inner portion of the icon will show as red on the map.
