EVER, like Fafnir at launch. Guan Yu is the only non guardian that I would say is a good support. I occasionally play Odin support for fun but it isn't that strong. Any non guardian is setting the team up for failure. The only time I can see that being an exception is with someone like a Jungle Cabrakan. You need the high HP, peel capability, and damage mitigation that guardians give you for the end game fights. Without that, your already 1 step behind going into a team fight.
