You ready for this? I think Smolder might be Spike's sister! I know I'm taking a shot in the dark right now, but why would Ember choose Smolder out of all the other dragons to be in the School of Friendship? She coulda chose Garble! No she chose Smolder! I mean, yeah Smolder could just be Ember's cousin or something, but Ember was so eager for Spike to make Smolder! Then again, that could also be just me, and that Ember just wants to give Spike another dragon friend. Ember is introducing Spike to his long-lost sister as a way to return the favor for Spike after making her Dragon Lord, and Ember wants to try to get Spike to reunite with his family! I have literately no way to prove this, and it may or may not happen!

I mean, yeah Smolder could just be Ember's cousin or something, but Ember was so eager for Spike to make Smolder!

He has been there since the beginning, and while he may not always have been in the spotlight quite like the Mane 6, his impact on the series has still been very significant. I always thought his episodes provided variety to the series along with the CMC episodes and were quite enjoyable in their own right. And he has had some particularly wonderful moments in the later seasons, especially when he became friends with Thorax.

Smolder is an orange female dragon who is one of the members of the Young Six, and is the younger sister of Garble from the animated series, My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. She first appears in season eight of the series as a student at Twilight Sparkle's School of Friendship. In the season eight premiere School Daze - Part 1 and Part 2, Smolder enrolls in Twilight Sparkle's School of Friendship as a student, having been brought to Ponyville by Ember to represent the dragons. Initially, Smolder is bitter about being enrolled at the school against her will, and her attitude is made worse when Twilight's strict adherence to the Equestria Education Association's guidelines causes the school courses to be dull and boring. She also only gets along with Gallus at first due to their similar personalities. When Smolder later cuts class with Gallus, Sandbar, Yona, Ocellus, and Silverstream, the six hang out together and end up becoming good friends. When they return to school for Friends and Family Day, they accidentally ruin the event and cause damage to the school. Chancellor Neighsay of the EEA perceives their fun and games as an attack orchestrated by non-pony creatures, and the offended tribe leaders pull their representative students out of school, including Smolder.

Molt Down is the eleventh episode of season eight of My Little Pony Friendship is Magic and the one hundred and eightieth overall. The title is a play on the word " meltdown ". In this episode, Spike undergoes a developmental stage for dragons called the "molt", and according to Smolder , its side effects compel a molter's family to kick them out of the house. The episode begins with Spike guiding Rarity to the phoenix nests in the woods. Rarity wishes to collect phoenix feathers for her latest fashion designs, and Spike decides to use the opportunity to visit Peewee. However, Spike behaves oddly around Rarity, hiding something on his face from her. When she notices and presses him, he reveals he has a red, itchy, pimple-like blemish called a stone scale. Rarity tells Spike the occasional blemish is nothing to be embarrassed about and suggests asking Zecora for a medicinal cream to get rid of it. When Spike and Rarity find Peewee's parents and no Peewee, Rarity believes he moved out, saying everyone has to leave the nest eventually. Peewee suddenly arrives, fully matured, but when he and Spike share a hug, it irritates Spike's stone scale.
