Snoot Game is a parody visual novel developed by Cavemanon. Snoot Game has a vibrant and active fan community that continues to produce related artwork, fanfiction and other media. Here Anon meets the qt ptero known as Fang and their clown-vomit colored posse of reject friends and other associated thorns-in-the-side. On June 11th, , during Sony's "Future of Gaming" presentation, the first trailer for Goodbye Volcano High was shown in a line-up of upcoming games for the PlayStation 5. Though reception to the trailer was lukewarm, it sparked interest from the handful of individuals who would go on to develop Snoot Game. They were intrigued by the characters and world, and decided to create their own game featuring parody versions of many of of the characters revealed for Goodbye Volcano High. Shortly after, the studio Cavemanon was founded, featuring a handful of volunteer game designers, writers, artists and musicians to bring their vision to life. Snoot Game was developed in the visual novel engine Ren'py. On June 4th, , less than a year after its conception, Snoot Game was released.

The game was developed in secret by Cavemanon shortly after the announcement of Goodbye Volcano High, and the game was released a year later on June 4th, The game also received subsequent patches that fixed bugs, finished CGs, and added new content to the game, the most recent patch released on January 6th, The game proved controversial, as some felt it was high quality while others criticized its writing and the apparent politics of the game, with some arguing that the game's only "good ending" is due to the player romancing the non-binary Fang into deciding she is a woman. The game proved controversial online, as some users mocked the character designs and art style of the game, as well as being featured alongside many prolific titles from PlayStation. Many users began to make memes of the game and its characters. Shortly after the game was announced, the game received controversy after it was discovered that the lead writer Kate Gray wrote an article for Kotaku about an unofficial Harry Potter sex parody game, featuring underage characters. However, the release was released in an incomplete state and received various updates to improve the game and add the content that was missing upon release.
