The Sopranos is an American crime drama television series created by David Chase.
The sixth and final season of the HBO drama series The Sopranos was broadcast in two parts, the first beginning on March 12, and ending after twelve episodes on June 4, The second beginning on April 8th, with the final nine episodes and concluding with the series finale airing on June 10, Ratings and critical reception were both strong during the sixth season of The Sopranos , but the ending of the final episode was controversial. The first part of the season focuses on the possibility of redemption as various members of the New Jersey crime family are offered chances to change their behavior, especially mob boss Tony Soprano, who confronts a spiritual awakening following a near-death experience. The second part focuses on the Soprano crime family's heinous acts from past and present finally catching up with them as they come into conflict with their New York enemies.
