This is one of our favourite places to escape to for a few hours. With the massive industrial development going on in this part of Thailand, the Seaside restaurant is a beautiful step back into the way things used to be. It's at the end There used to be many of these piers with restaurants and hotels built on them, but this is the last of them that is still functioning. The food is generally good, especially the shellfish though sometimes it's not all available ; the fried fish tends to be overcooked, which is usually the case in Thailand, but the steamed fish is okay and the thom soups are excellent. The decor is bright and open to the sea on three sides, service is fine and prices are reasonable, especially compared to the overpriced places in Pattaya. We find it's best to go there when the tide is in because the mud is ugly and also sometimes smelly. The tides in the Gulf of Thailand are a puzzle to me, but fortunately you can easily find the Pattaya tide tables on the Pattaya divers website.
