Starfield is boring
The meta-narrative around Starfield just took a very weird turn. Starfield is an RPG with hundreds of hours of quests to complete and characters to meet. Try creating different characters with backgrounds and characteristics that clash or are oppositive of your previous character, starfield is boring. You will feel like you are playing a totally different game.

Starfield is boring
Space is, as Star Trek has taught us, the final frontier. Humanity has conquered the heights, the depths, and wide expanse in between; however, the next step on our never-ending quest for discovery will be our finest hour. While scientific research has told us what to expect when we traverse the vast abyss of space, the truth is that we know very little about what's going on out there, and a lot of the stuff that we do know is theoretical. In many ways, it's a blank slate, especially for creators. I don't mean some celestial being or a divine presence, I'm talking about people who make movies, video games, or any other form of entertainment. Unfortunately, Starfield doesn't make the most of these endless possibilities. You can incorporate almost anything you want in space. Perhaps something based on the laws of physics we know, but realised in a way we've never imagined? Or how about a planet that defies the very definition of what we know as a planet? Instead, we often have to settle for the usual sandy desert planet. Starfield, Bethesda's expedition into the vast unknown, is not the only property guilty of lacking an imagination when it comes to space, but it is the latest.

A reader tries out Starfield on Game Pass and is disappointed by its repetition and lack of advancement over Skyrim and Fallout 4…. Two games it was assumed would go on to challenge Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom for the title of game of the year. We all know why that is, with Bethesda refusing to send early copies to those sites they thought would mark it lower i. So what do I think…? And I get it, at least the second one.

Starfield recently crossed that threshold in a rush of new sales ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. One surefire way to reverse negative reviews on Steam is to continue releasing big updates. While Starfield recently received DLSS support on PC and the ability to eat food directly from the environment which serves no purpose but is fun , the game could still use plenty of other tweaks and additions, and fellow travelers like Cyberpunk have proved it can be done.

That also works great on my Steam Deck, after some tweaking. Life is too short to cry. I gave up more in surprise than disgust, at just how bad it all was. Posts: Showing 1 - 15 of 42 comments. Why should I waste my time slogging through a dull first few hours to maybe, hopefully, get to an interesting part of the gameplay? I sat through the trailers.
