I rolled with Butters whenever possible. He's the most likable and his powers complimented mine pretty well.

Agreed on Butters, if I wasn't using him I used Stan. Cartman and Kyle. Cartman because of his 'Curse' ability. Kyle because, well he's my favourite character. Butters, but he is a bit OP.

As the credits roll on South Park: The Stick of Truth, the big question isn't why Ubisoft would choose to censor certain scenes for tender European eyes, but how they censored it. This is a game that doesn't so much cross the line as utterly erase it in a blitzkrieg of piss, poop, farts, profanity and over-the-top violence. In the midst of such gleefully offensive mayhem, working out how far constitutes "too far" is an utterly pointless exercise. It is, in other words, an absolutely note-perfect adaptation of the legendarily scatological TV show into an interactive form. Previous South Park games have imitated the crass humour and borrowed the catchphrases, but missed the deeper layers of satire and the odd sweetness that binds the foul-mouthed whole together. Characters said familiar things, farts were farted, but the dirty, witty soul was missing. With creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone fully on board as both writers and voice performers, that certainly isn't an issue with The Stick of Truth. From the script upwards this is a true continuation of the show - an epic spin-off story that could just as easily have been a movie sequel to Bigger, Longer, Uncut. Rather than loosely draping a South Park skin over a generic game, developer Obsidian has created a South Park story that just happens to be a role-playing game. It's a good role-playing game as well.

After beating the game probably a tie between Cartman and Kyle for pure combat. Gotta love the AoEs.

For those who have played with every buddy, who do you think is the best. Haven't unlocked Cartman and Kyle yet, and I like having Jimmy. Mage works best with butters. But butters is my favorite character and definitely 2nd best combat-wise so I keep him around most often Kyle's "Kick the Baby" allied with my mage got me through the last few hours of the game almost single-handedly. I'll have to agree. And his ability to regenerate the party's PP is great. He causes tons of damage to all enemies with the Furry Friends attack while also starting bleeding, and can lower their attack with Charm before that.

It is one of the few moves that targets all enemies and deals a shit ton of damage. Although I would rather walk around with Butters or Cartman to hear their one liners. Only enough to see all their attacks. I use the PP abilities with my character and have Jimmy keep using his ability to refill the PP points. Change language. Cancel X. I don't find Kenny to be as useful. Butters and Jimmy. I just liked the massive damage output. There needs to be more games today made like this. I was having it hit for 12,, by the end of the game, and the arrow attack drops 8,, even when you botch it.
