Although there are tons of different materials to choose from and I can create new ones out of existing content just by adjusting some parameters and settings, I also had texture maps that I had made or downloaded that I wanted to add into it. The only problem was that I couldn't find much on how to really accomplish this. I saw ways to duplicate materials, import resources, create smart materials with custom settings, but to just add in texture maps and create a brand new material that I could manipulate later seemed impossible. The general answer I found was that I needed to just use Substance Designer to create materials or download from Source , Share or another option.

Wondering how to combine UV tiles into one texture? Currently there's 4 UV tiles or 4 texture sets, so when the textures export there's like 16 textures. So in Unity I can't add that many textures to the 1 material on a mesh. I'm just trying to figure out how to export 1 albedo, 1 normal, 1 roughness etc. I tried the baking button but when I tried exporting again there's still 16 textures. Ah nevermind.

When I load in a mesh and try to apply a material to it, it doesn't display on the mesh. It remains as the default grey. Even when I load in the sample files like Mat or the sample sphere, which are already unwrapped.
