For myself, I love the Empire. Firstly because it is fair and egalitarian when you look beyond the obvious. I mean, anyone can get anywhere in the Empire, as long as you are strong with the Force and got a bit of wits. Just see the warrior's and inquisitor's story. As a Sith, you are free to take charge of your own destiny.

Which Faction do you prefer and why? I'd like to say that I enjoy the Republic more but I just can't. The Republic has been my choice ever since beta because of the lore, the diversity and planets like Coruscant which I adore, but I find myself playing Empire characters a lot more. The dialogue options and character looks are more interesting on the Empire side to me. Tython, while cool to look at is so boring.
That's not a positive thing. Posted January 12, Paulsutherland Posted September 22,

I do like the companions, Tau, Rivix Anri, just not the actual rep vs empire plot. I also feel the rep vs empire stories have been pointless imo. Also I really doubt anyone going to win the war in an MMO. That why I imagine the World of Warcraft devs ended the faction wars, because people were tired of it and everyone knew no one would win completely.
I just rolled a new Bounty hunter, my first imperial. But, I have to say the imperial side is much more attractive then rebuplic. The gear, the quests, also I think BH is the most fun class I've played so far. I tried to play with all the rebuplic classes but they didn't do it for me. Some how it was lame. BH has missiles, heat vent, blasters, flame thrower, jet back, cool heavy armor, he can be a rattataki or chiss And what does a sentinel have, he has 2 sabers lots of similar strikes to gather focus , force leap and thats about it Thats lame Maybe you should compare classes that are actually comparable, for example their mirror class Sentinel has Marauder as mirror class and they are quite the same..

I will never have my fill of being evil because I choose all the good conversations and still get to play the class I like the most. Jedi Shadow feels boring even though it's the mirror class. Light Side Bounty Hunter here. To be honest, playing republic I switched due to getting sick of huttbal, huttbal, huttbal isn't nearly as lame as I thought it would be. Actually, all the corruption, evil stuff within the republic as a Trooper is a lot of fun and the storyline is enjoyable and the smart-assedness of my smuggler makes me lol a lot.

It hasn't engaged in genocide against non-combatants. It's too much like RL politics to be any fun. I wish Bioware was brave enough to let one faction lose again, the player doesn't always have to be on the winning side. Posted March 26, However, after extensive reading in to the lore I am fully aware of what sides I'm dealing with and so if I had to choose which one I would sympathize with most, it would definitely be the Republic. Posted March 8, edited. It is a statist dictatorship. The Republic Senate didn't make decisions on how to rule the planet. Flesh Raiders? WynnSilvergaze 8 years ago 2. The Republic is far from perfect. Same goes for Heta Kol. Even in the movies Mandos used technology to fight Jedi. Followers 0.

While the Republic channels have some of this on the earlier planets, they are generally full of people giving advice, being helpful, or looking for groups. Sign In. The story seems all the more intriguing this way. There is a brutal honesty in Imperial politics you just don't see in the Republic. Both, check my Sig. And republics are the good guys! But i've always been a "has more fun being the bad guy" type of person - I mean my god I have a Vader tattoo lol. In the time of TOR, power is actually held by the Dark Council which would make it a Authoritarian rule by a centralized group and Kratocracy rule by the strong state. Posted November 1, edited. SteveTheCynic Posted February 19, Edited August 18, by Joesixxpack. I like their architecture more than the Republic's, whether it's ships and buildings, or their superior fashion designers. Iokath was sort of in the right direction. There just planetary arcs and I don't really want to go back to that. I can save all companion convos for after I beat the main story, right?
In it something is and it is good idea. I support you.
Now all became clear to me, I thank for the help in this question.
I am final, I am sorry, I too would like to express the opinion.
