Just was wondering if anyone else has picked one of these lowers up and their thoughts? What's the point? You can pick up a complete metal lower for the same price or a couple bucks more. The weight savings would be minimal at best. I may give one a try for my ultralight build.

By mineralman55 March 2, in Building a. I thought I'd continue a previous thread here, as the build has progressed past the initial stage and into the actual build stage. I had been toying with getting an Aero Precision completed upper because I really like their enhanced upper's integral rail mounting system, but I didn't want the birdcage and the non-adjustable gas block that came with it. I couldn't pass these up. Looks like I'm building a carbine. Looks like another buying panic is occurring. Aero is out of so many parts right now gas tubes, BCG, barrels. Midway likewise with lots of parts. Oh well Parts are coming in now I love getting packages.

Well, I decided to go with a Mega forged lower. Either way, once we get it fixed in the next few weeks , we will replace your lowers free of charge. We wanted it clearly stated that the issue has to be resolved. Bought em post Sandy H and just needed something. Aesthetically, and functionally though, this thing is a MESS. Basically what's going to happen if this thing sits in my truck all day on a miserable August day in Alabama? The problems with the receiver extension area is two-fold. I'm glad to see you guys taking the right design approach. Even then the lower didn't fail, the insert held up perfectly and everything functioned as advertised. Also compatible w. Guess I'm just lucky. Not much data there but I'll go through another 1k this weekend and see what pans out. I'm old! Let me know if there are any concerns with the designs".
