The fishing hole

When you visit Lower Raven's Rill , head toward the back side of town. There's a man named Yacob standing around on a wooden platform, near a waterwheel. Talk to him to learn that his favorite fishing hole has been taken over by monsters. Accept Yacob's request for assistance and activate the quest marker. It should lead you back out of town, toward the area you explored when first heading to town as described in Pilgrims' Road. You'll find a body near the edge of some water and when you investigate it, you determine that something ferocious tore it apart. Approach the nearby water and you'll be prompted to use Yacob's secret bait. Use the bait, then back quickly away from the water. The beast you sought, called the Nishemmu, will jump out to attack. It's accompanied by a number of weaker beasts. You should eliminate them first while rolling clear of the main monster, which can strike with quite powerful blows. When the weaker monsters are gone, take down their leader. Then return to Yacob with the good news. Reject his offer of a reward and you can earn a valuable Deed if you similarly reject rewards for completing the A Prized Possession and The Widow's Revenge side quests also available in the area.
