Following our recent first glimpse of the villainous Ursula in a new TV spot for The Little Mermaidwe have a first proper look at Sebastian the crab thanks to a leaked promo image. The pic appears to be taken from a tie-in book, and features Ariel's Halle Bailey little crustacean pal, who was a major highlight of the animated version.

The first full trailer for Disney's live-action remake of The Little Mermaid is set to premiere during the Oscars later tonight, but if you're the impatient type, we have a little sneak peek of what to expect thanks to a leaked clip. It's not the best quality, but the footage does give us a first proper glimpse of Melissa McCarthy as evil sea witch, Ursula, as she makes Ariel Halle Bailey an offer she can't refuse. It's finally here. After years of anticipation, the official trailer for Disney's live action reimagining of The Little Mermaid , starring Halle Bailey, has arrived. The film's star, Halle Bailey and her costar Melissa McCarthy who portrays the film's villain Ursula presented the trailer during the 95th annual Academy Awards on Sunday. The trailer featured all of the standout moments from the original film that longtime fans would be looking for; and emotional debate between Ariel and King Triton Javier Bardem , the fiery shipwreck that allows Ariel and Prince Eric to meet, and of course those famous water-bound hair flips. The Little Mermaid is the latest live action adaptation of classic animated features from the famed film studio, following in the footsteps of The Jungle Book , Aladdin , Mulan , Beauty and the Beast , and The Lion King. Bailey has spoken in the months leading up to the film's release about what it means to star as the film's titular character, Ariel, especially as a young Black woman.
