The ritual by shantel tessier
I was raised in a world where money and power are at your fingertips. My father is a LORD, a very respected member of a secret society that knows no bounds. Then he came and saved me. The devil disguised as my personal hero.
Cancel anytime. The Manipulator. I can manipulate the emotions of anyone who lets me. I will make you hurt, make you cry, make you laugh and sigh. But my words don't affect him.

Barrington University is home of the Lords, a secret society that requires their blood in payment. They are above all-the most powerful men in the world. They devote their lives to violence in exchange for power. And during their senior year, they are offered a chosen one. People think growing up with money is freeing, but I promise you, it's not. My entire life has been planned out for me. I never got the chance to do what I wanted until Ryat Alexander Archer came along and gave me an option for a better life. He offered me what no one else ever had-freedom. I chose to be his. He made me believe that anyway, but it was just another lie. A way that the Lords manipulate you into doing what they want. After being sucked into the dark, twisted world of the Lords, I embraced my new role and allowed Ryat to parade me around like the trophy I was to him. But like all things, what started out as a game soon became a fight for survival. And the only way out was death.
At all.
Senior in college. Alpha to the max. Blakely is his chosen one. I Vow. You Vow. We Vow. As expected with the author, the book is full of lies, secrets, and so many twists.
The author was born in Texas but now makes her home in Tulsa Oklahoma where she lives with her husband. She met her supportive and wonderful husband while they were both in high school and they now have two kids. She has now written more than two dozen works and has shown no signs of slowing down any time soon. She has said that she feels very lucky to do what she does from the comfort of her home. When she is not writing her novels she can usually be found going to the movies and concerts, drinking wine, watching college football and the NFL. While Shantel is passionate about writing, the family will always come first. As such, she spends most evenings at home with her daughters and her husband alongside their dog and cat. In fact, her grandmother still has some of the short stories she penned back when she was a child. She loves and loved to read and could read up to a book a day and hence, books have been a constant feature in her life over the years.

The girl who rings the bells up in the tower, the one who talks to gargoyles. The one man that she shouldn't choose but she could not help but be drawn to. Normally, I'd be all Swoon City with that, but this felt like a miss to me. Who lives in Oklahoma with her high school sweetheart, who is a wonderful, supportive husband and their two daughters. So, I would drop it to either two or three stars……. When she actually run off, she was found shortly after and didn't put much fight, she actually admitted to have missed him and all that life She finally gets a chance to prove herself when she's given the case of a lifetime: capture Raide Knox and bring him to justice. Made no damn sense. The sex was hot. I could have everything I wanted.

Ryat wants Blakely. I try to tell myself, Eve, you should hate him. Note: the author's TW note was laughable. I mean there is literally something for everyone. I really wanted to like this. So frustrating and disappointing. But portrayed it in the worst way possible. WE VOW. I chose to be his. The POV's also changed multiple times throughout one chapter and ended up being very annoying to keep up with. Get this So much. I didn't mean to fall in love. Likes it even, because he'll get to hand her back all used up, and he's really into that thought.
