View Full Version : Buyer beware on townpost. Posting the wrong pic has happened lots on sites, I have done it myself. One of my friends and an AO member here actually posted a wrong model with the pic 70 instead of and had a pile of inquiries because nobody had heard of the mountain rifle in that cartridge! There have been lot's of scam posts on for sale sites. I have found the best way to filter through them is to copy the Image from the post. Search that image using Google Image search. You will usually find the posted image from another source or post, from when the actual item was listed. Usually they take the images from US websites. If you don't find any other matches, then you can proceed to Inquire about the listing from the seller. Considering spell check was not employed in the two line add I imagine it's possible the poster didn't glance at the picture they selected before the add went up. Has someone actually emailed the fellow? It's possible that he picked the wrong pic link and hasn't caught his mistake yet. Has anyone done a google search on the image? Seems like everyone knows what to do if they are interested in the item, but is anyone doing it?
