Our mortarboards are made from a soft black felt material with a ribbon finish arround the base of the cap. Over the last three years in a unique UAL tradition, Grayson has worn inspiring alternatives to the traditional black robes conventionally worn by other Chancellors at graduation. In Grayson took to the stage in dazzling robes designed by London College of Fashion MA Costume Design for Performance student, Rachele Terrinoni, which comprised of a custom-made petticoat, an 8-metred hand smock dress, and a Swarovski crystal encrusted coat.
