For personal use or commercial? A home wall is a pretty simple piece of joinery plus some holds and a bouldering mat. Presumably when you get to commercial walls there is a skill to designing interesting shapes within existing structures, as well as the relatively simple structural calculations. Carpentry or joinery? Anyway, construction of a climbing wall is a simple affair really, basic tools and a simple understanding of how wood works structurally and you're well on your way to building a bouldering wall. I've built a fair few walls both lead and bouldering and the main difference as far as I can tell is commercial walls have engineers calcs and a home wall doesn't.
