The University of North Carolina at Charlotte UNC Charlotte Center for Teaching and Learning spearheaded uncc faculty longitudinal, data-driven project to better understand and respond to the needs of non-tenure-track faculty. When the project began inthe study consisted of five phases: contingent faculty needs assessment, implementation of institutional responses to identified contingent needs, follow-up assessment and contingent faculty initiatives, institutionalization and dissemination of successful contingent faculty initiatives, planning for expansion and continuous improvement of contingent faculty needs. UNC Charlotte uncc faculty completed the first three phases, are fully engaged in phase four, and are moving towards phase five, uncc faculty.
This is a tenure track position. Cognitive science with research interests in computational modeling of the influence of cognitive and affective processes as they relate to health, education, robotics, etc. Cloud Computing with research interests in distributed computing, virtualization, resource management, programming and application models, data-intensive cloud infrastructure or dependability. The appointment will be for three or five years, depending on rank, and is eligible for renewal. The position is not eligible for tenure. To our great discredit, white women continue to act far too often in ways that support white supremacy, even when it is to our detriment. Time and time again, we have seen women of color show up to the polls to support progressive politics, while white women cling to the regressive, and often racist, politics and politicians who long for yesteryear. But of course, racism and sexism are inextricably intertwined even in the America of , a place where the perceived fragility of white women is still weaponized and deployed in order to initiate and justify racialized violence.
