The common room has comfortable seating, study areas and activities such as pool and foosball. Need more space? Built on the site of a former garage and music venue, Artisan Heights, which provides a home for students, is located within walking distance of both Manchester Metropolitan University and the University of Manchester. It sits adjacent to the river Medlock and benefits from panoramic views of the city and, on a clear day, across the Peak District from the top floors. The new building has a range of facilities including, two common rooms with study areas, a cinema room, meeting rooms, karaoke room, tea and coffee stations, laundry, bike store, and games areas. The development has achieved a BREEAM Excellent rating and benefits from a green roof on level five comprising of a natural habitat to encourage insect and wildlife. BREEAM is an international standard which provides independent third-party certification of the sustainability performance of buildings and infrastructure projects.

The management was responsive to my few concerns and always sought to ensure tenant satisfact All the staff have welcomed me with open arms, always chat to me and allow me to vent or talk about my problems.

They proceeded to not give me a room to stay in while mine was being 'repaired,' which means they ran a vacuum over the carpet and left my bathroom in absolute carnage, because apparently they couldn't clean it as it's not part of the contract? Two weeks after I'd moved in I was told I had to move flats due to refurbishments which apparently couldn't have been done the fortnight before during the summer holidays! And with a fixed rent for your whole stay, you don't have to worry about rising energy costs or changing your budget. Rooms have a full-length desk, chair and plenty of storage. Alternatively, the Odeon IMAX in the Printworks is the place to be for all the biggest blockbusters, and you can get there in 21 minutes by bus. Whilst all your pals in Fallowfield are partying every day, expect to be sat alone in your room, wallowing in the all-consuming realisation that your first year is being wasted. Would definitely recommend for anyone who is able to afford it is a little on the pricey side for what you get and wants there experience at uni to be a balance of working and socialising. Had to move all my stuff up two flights of stairs in one day, on my own despite help being promised and only given one small cardboard box which had to be returned the same day.

There is no common area or social space so its difficult to get to know people in the accommodation. Please try again in a few moments.
