GUC — Good Used Condition A piece of clothing might have more fading or other signs of being used and well-loved ; a pair of shoes might be scuffed or have slight discoloration. You might also see some small stains, but otherwise everything is in great shape. HSA — Highly Sought After An item with a lot of interest; it might be from a popular seasonal collection or a brand with limited or small-batch releases.

I agree that the best practice is good descriptions and pics when selling, and lots of precise questions when buying. I tend to be very picky about my diapers, and like some pp only use EUC to describe something I couldn't tell you wasn't new if I didn't know better. Its all so subjective, though. I recently bought a lot of used covers off a mom in ebay that she described as VGUC. The pics weren't that revealing so I sent a message asking if they had any issues and the condition that the PUL, elastic, and velcro was in. She said the velcro showed some signs of use but was still very sticky, and that everything else was great. None of this was disclosed. When I complained, she said they were all fully functional and for her, that meant they were in very good condition, and that what I mentioned were purely aesthetic issues, so she didn't feel they needed to be mentioned. Oh well, I learned my lesson--be specific when asking questions. We all have different standards.
