T he building evolved into a small inn and local tavern, where railroad workers and travelers alike would gather for a hearty ale, a fine meal and comfortable lodging. After John Ryan sold the business near the turn of the century, the building was divided into two parts. The larger part was converted into the town grocery store, while the smaller section housed the local barbershop. In the 's it became known as the Oasis Restaurant and in the 60's, Orrie's Lounge. In , Wayne and Patty Beckwith took over the property and turned it into what we know and love now, the Fairport Village Inn. They worked hard to continue the fine tradition of this local eating and drinking establishment. Their son Ken grew up in the restaurant, helping out his parents throughout the years. This experience cultivated Ken's passion for hospitality. He has continued to work hard to keep his parents legacy alive and provide a welcoming atmosphere with exceptional food. From Tuesday through Saturday, the Fairport Village Inn turns into one of the area's finest restaurants, serving a delicious variety of seafood, chicken, beef and pasta dishes made to order in our kitchen.
