She volunteered throughout her life and spent many years volunteering for the Tiny Greyhound Youth Football and South Little League Baseball in Winston-Salem, continuing to volunteer in retirement at Lexington Interfaith Community Services, Lexington, SC and visiting local assisted living facilities.
