Cuz i tried to drive around 50mi with my new speedometer and then replaced to my old and my old showed me same miles which use to be on it before i replaced it. If i will drive around mi on different speedometer will my speedometer work fine after that??? Only a new unit. A used unit along with the ignition switch must be sent to a speedo shop for odometer adjustment.

If eprom dump is corupt you will have this situation try to put another dump I have this before after somebody changed km. I have a W cluster white color , when connect to car gives nothing, not even LCD light, but connect on table it shows everything. I had a c class last week guy had tried programing and lost power half way through i got a second hand cluster and flashed mileage put it in and was expecting mileage to show then show dashes but mileage stayed so must stop dash looking at ezs for miles and chassis no. Could be but you will have to edit chassis no or put good dump in then flash new mileage.

Last week the car briefly displayed a message about "Battery Protection" and that some functions would be temporarily unavailable. I did not drive or start the car since that message as I did not need to use the car. However, this evening when I started the car, the instrument cluster did not show anything - the fuel and temperature displays showed no bars, no lights came on the dashboard when starting the car or whilst it's started, the speedo and rev counter needles do not move, the central display screen is blank, and finally the headlight switch does nothing when it's turned but the Auto lights are on. As far as I can tell everything else is working fine - indicators, wipers, comand, heater, electric seats etc.
