The event saw over people gather to celebrate Palestinian culture, cuisine, dress, poetry, and art. They auctioned art, watched cinema, admired authentic Palestinian attire, and shared the spoken word, which included speeches from local Palestinians. Last night was a true celebration of culture, alongside our Palestinian neighbours living in the North East! This cultural event would not have been brought together without the generous assistance of JasWinder Singh and Monjer Rashid. MAP works for the health and dignity of Palestinians living under brutal Isreali occupation and as refugees, through providing medical aid and ensuring the development of a long term health care system. We are a not-for-profit citizen journalism publication. Our aim is to publish well-written, fact-based articles and opinion pieces on subjects that are of interest to people in the North East and beyond.

Yah very nice food and friendly staff. I only stopped for quick bite and got my self lamb wrap and those homemade chips so delicious wish I stayed newcastle for longer and have a proper meal. Arabic fusioned Lebanese food at its best in the city center close to the central station, near life center. Food is fabulous this was second visit to them. Beautiful place. Wait 15 minutes before waitress comes to take your order. Yet they call it the same establishment. Inside is beautif. Best breakfast ever, and the staff are very welcoming. Would highly recommend it for delicious Lebanese style breakfast. Went here with my family for some food, this place is lovely with friendly staff. The Mixed Grill was tasty probably enough for 2 people, my wife loved the Chicken Shawarma and i loved both the Lamb Chops and Shish alth. Great experience, bar Staff an shisha amazing. Kitchen closed for another week so didn't dine in.

Dine in or takeout at the Wafi Restaurant, our authentic Lebanese restaurant or at the cafe, relax and enjoy our traditional Oasis Lounge. An elegant lounge in the style of its drink and service, offering a wide range of speciality cocktails, mocktails, beers, wines and champagnes along with spirits. We had an amazing day Wafi lounge was really busy but we got everything on time food was lovely drinks flowed highly recommend. Excellent food, lovely staff. Outside seating area really good. Premium location. Inside seating area currently closed as per government lockdown guidance, hopefully we will get to try that soon, once the pandemic is over. The best Mediterranean food in Newcastle, so tasty,, the stuff are friendly and so nice,, two times they offer sweet free kindly… I usually recommend it to everyone who visits Newcastle. It was so good i wanted to eat more than the wafi king grill it was better than the other restaurants.

The kebab was perfect! I could not have asked more for the price, which was very good value. Their milkshake is amazing and their is also a bar on the top floor with a restaurant on the lower floor.
