The nose gives rich blackcurrant fruit together with prunes, malt loaf, chocolate and raisins. I thought the wines were amazingly good then and I do now as well, but they have got a lot more quirky in recent years. This has lovely concentration and focus and it is a lovely, delicious and appetising style of wine that would go with just about anything.
