Chloe was informed Reuben wasn't coping off of the ventilator and that his blood pressure had dramatically dropped, so they had to put him back onto the breathing support. As updates filtered around the village, his secret father Mack was clearly struggling and hit the booze to numb his pain. Mack was seen fighting back tears and shaking as he learned about Reuben possibly being at death's door, and he couldn't even hide his turmoil.
